Win, and the sixth-placed Wanderers stay within reach of the men’s Premier League Hockey top four.
Lose, and they go dangerously close to falling too far out of touch, although playing post-season hockey would still be a mathematical possibility.
Basically, it’s now or never if Wanderers are going to kick-start their charge up the standings.
Wanderers are currently six points adrift of fourth-placed Lithgow Zig Zag, a deficit they could easily slash to two considering the latter side is playing second-placed Bathurst St Pat’s.
But, should Wanderers lose and Zig Zag win, the gap becomes 10.
It helps that Wanderers taking on the lowly Bathurst City side, which has won just two games so far this season.
The last time the two sides met Wanderers scored a clinical 10-0 victory.
It will be tougher this time around with Saturday’s game being in Bathurst but that is virtually negated by the fact Wanderers have their full contingent on deck.
The two sides clash from 3.20pm, at Bathurst’s Cooke Hockey Complex.
