PREDICTED damaging winds were yet to eventuate in Bathurst late Friday afternoon, despite numerous warning from the Bureau of Meteorology.

The Bureau warning said a strengthening west to northwesterly airstream was expected across the state, with an associated with a cold front on Friday and Saturday.
Damaging winds, averaging 60 to 70 km/h, with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h, were forecast to develop on Friday.
Bureau data from Bathurst Airport showed that while wind gusts had picked up throughout the day, the top reading was 56km/h at 2.30pm.
By 1.40pm on Friday the Macquarie River had dropped to 1.9 metres following a peak of 3.9m early on Thursday morning, which had sent waters gushing over roads and parks.
State Emergency Service volunteers have now stood down after a busy week of floods in Bathurst, Perthville and Georges Plains.
Volunteers received more than a dozen calls for help including two flood rescues, five storm jobs, and seven flood jobs to sandbag homes.
