While City ultimately went down 5-0, Mal Willott explained that it was not a true indication of how well his side performed.
City lost Blake Davis, one of their main attacking threats, after 15 minutes due to a broken collarbone, while their manager had to kit up and play to help the visitors field a full team.
But even then, Zig Zag’s goals came in patches towards the end of each half.
“The score didn’t show how the game was played, they had to really step up to beat us,” Willott said.
“It could’ve been 3-2 or even 2-all at half-time, we had a lot of opportunities. We didn’t give up either, we could’ve scored right up to the last minute.
“The morale is back and all the boys are happy.”
