Volunteers gave 323 hours of their time over the week for 59 storm jobs, seven flood-related incidents and two flood rescues.

Bathurst SES media officer Charles Milne said volunteers have put in a great effort during the past week.

“What these numbers don't show is the time spent away from family and friends, the missed dinners and plans, the fuel our volunteers use in their private vehicles or the time we missed from work,” he said.

“The reason our volunteers do this is to help our community when it needs it most and we are very proud of our team over the last week.

“From those members in the field cutting up trees and sand bagging houses through to our operations and logistics teams who kept things running smoothing.”

Mr Milne said the past week has been a team effort with a number of other agencies.

“Thank you to the NSW RFS Perthville and Bathurst brigades and the Bathurst Regional Council teams,” he said.

“Without their help throughout this week we would not have been able to achieve everything we did.”
