Taken on Saturday by Bathurst man David Roma, the photo and drone footage are not to be missed.
Mr Roma said the footage tells the story of the raging waters, reveals its source and pans out to see it in context, moving toward the beautiful rolling green hills toward Bathurst.
“I had planned the video ahead of time and was delighted to see my visualisation turn to reality,” he said.
“While most of my aerial footage I keep to myself, I thought this would be of interest to others and it turned out too good not to share.”
Mr Roma said his recent drone footage of the flooded low-level bridge at Hereford Street inspired him to head out to the dam.
“I thought it would be cool to see the source of where all the water was coming from,” he said.
“I have flown out there a few times. It’s a nice safe open place to fly.
“There are beautiful views which you just can’t really experience from the ground.”
Mr Roma has been a photographer for many years, but only added drone photography and footage to his resume 12 months ago.
He said that his social media following encourages him “to get out, shoot the fun stuff and share it” with his followers.
