Of the eight races contested at the meeting, Turnbull featured in the placings of all but three as his stable also notched up a pair of third placings.
The wins came aboard Folk Art ($3.70), Dot Ayou ($3.50) and As Lowas They Come ($9.70).
A five-year-old gelding by P Forty Seven x Your An Angel, As Lowas They Come’s success in the Michael Wayne Teal Pace (1,660 metres) was his first since November 5 last year.
Going from barrier seven, Turnbull found a sit on the back of early leader Max Is Back before coming off the rails and peeling three wide down the home straight.
As Lowas They Come beat home $1.50 favourite Sportygal, trained and driven by Nathan’s father Steve, by 1.2 metres. He rated 2:00.0 for the win.
