SHE may not keep count of her winners any more, but The Lagoon native Amanda Turnbull was still delighted to notch up her 100th victory for the season as a driver in New South Wales last week.

The milestone ticked over when Majordan saluted as a $1.70 favourite at Menangle Park on July 19 in the Success Stud City Trained Heat (1,609 metres).
But perhaps more impressively for Turnbull was that when Majordan got home in a scorching 26.7 seconds final sectional to claim victory, it made it seven consecutive seasons in which the talented driver cracked triple figures.
After falling five short of her century in season 2008-09, Turnbull has enjoyed a remarkable run of consistent success.
In season 2009-10 she notched up 139 victories and in the campaigns which followed, her final tallies were 118, 130, 203 in both 2012-13 and 2013-14, then 105 last season.
"It's always a good feeling to get 100," Turnbull said.
"I never thought I'd do this [when I first started driving], not at all. You definitely want to be up there, but sometimes you think you might not have as many good ones to drive for a season.
"Now I am training you don't worry about it as much because you are too busy, but it's still nice."
Many of Turnbull's winners over the years have come in feature races - a number of them Group level - while she also moved from her base at The Lagoon to Shepparton then Menangle.
This is her first full season at Menangle, and she is enjoying her new surrounds.
"It's real nice here, it's five star," she said.
"I moved just on account of the prize money.
“I had some nice horses, so I thought I'd come and try it. We've got 22 in work and have got some real nice ones.”
Turnbull is not the only Bathurst district product to have cracked triple figures for the season. Georges Plains reinsman Mat Rue recently eclipsed 100 wins as a driver, while Amanda's father Steve had trained 139 victors as of the start of the week.
However, it is another driver who earned special mention from Turnbull.
Victorian Kerryn Manning reached 100 winners for the season on the weekend, marking the 16th time in her career she hit the milestone.
"She's unreal. I grew up watching her and now I am good friends with her, she is a great person," Turnbull said.
