Mariners have not enjoyed the brightest season but they know they have what it takes to beat their opponents having knocked them over 4-2 at Proctor Park in May.
However, many games have passed since then and Rovers find themselves fighting for second place while the Mariners are languishing in last.
Mariners will hope to channel more of the soccer they produced against the Rovers on that cold May night, where their tight defensive efforts and excellent counter attacks paved the way for victory.
Western looked the stronger side for much of their match against Gladesville Ryde Magic last round but ended up going down 2-1 to record their 14th loss.
