Nova coach Kathy Keech is looking forward to the match against Colts, a meeting which was rained out earlier in the season.
“I’m sure it’s going to be a really tough game. They’ve got some very strong players there. I’m just hoping for a game that will be a good spectacle,” she said.
Nova went into the school holiday break with a crucial, confidence-boosting 36-35 win over Panthers Duncans.
Returning from their break last weekend, Nova went down 39-26 to defending champions Bulldogs Verdelho in a result that Keech still took plenty of positives away from.
“It’s been quite a disjointed season with all the washouts and the changes to A grade platform being adjusted because they took a team out,” she said.
“To get into the end of the season and have our combinations coming along well is really goo to see. Against Panthers we could see that was working well.
“I wasn’t too disappointed with the result against Bulldogs and after the game the girls could see the things that they had to work on.”
Nova and Colts play at 3.45pm. In the day’s other games Bathurst under 17s play Bulldogs at 1.15pm while LJ Hooker Heat battle Panthers Duncans at 2.30pm.
