Central Tablelands Local Land Services is inviting land managers to participate in the National Feral Cat Management Survey, which is being conducted by RMIT University in Melbourne.
The survey aims to determine the extent of feral cat control across Australia, and to estimate the number of feral cats that are being removed from the environment each year.
“Feral cats have a significant impact on native biodiversity across our region,” Central Tablelands Local Land Services senior land services officer Peter Evans said. “It is extremely important that we capture as much information and knowledge [as possible] regarding the control methods of feral cats and their numbers within Australia.”
