2MCE appeals mainly to a 35-plus age group for many programs, but there are well over 25 hours per week devoted to a youth audience.

Each weekday afternoon our Beat Cafe drive time programming between 4pm and 6pm is aimed at our younger audience with the majority of presenters in this time slot mainly CSU University students.
One such program is “The Peoples Smoko” on Friday afternoon’s hosted by Adam Murray and Glenn Martin.
These two loveable larrikins don’t mind a laugh and pulling a few pranks on unwitting targets.
They can take a different view on current topics, along with an occasional quiz with a twist, interviews with fellow students and just general mayhem.
The music and concept of the program is youth focussed, as is our Studio 4 programming each night from 10pm onwards.
Studio 4 is an opportunity for younger broadcasters to get some great experience either as individuals or in a shared program situation expressing themselves within themes or music genres for the younger generation.
Volunteer presenters are the lifeblood of community radio stations like 2MCE and locally put in over one hundred hours per week of programs in addition to a comprehensive local news service put together by CSU Journalism students.
Ninety five percent of these programs are ‘live to-air’ with the remainder of the stations programming coming overnight via the Community Radio Satellite.
So when you tune in to 92.3FM Bathurst and 94.7FM Orange you are hearing local people talking about local issues and playing a selection of music and topics that reflects the community we live in.
The presenters and the station always enjoy feedback so give our announcers a call on 6331-0092 or email at 2mcefm@gmail.com with any feedback, musical request or enquiry, we are always pleased to get your call and field your comments.
Cold comfort
IT’S cold at present and there’s nothing better than sitting in front of the fire with a warm drink listening to the radio.
Whether it be some soothing Jazz on a Thursday evening, album tracks on Wednesday from 7pm, Saturday Night Jukebox through until 10. Ronnie Mac’s Sunday morning music, weekend folk and country, some crackling afternoon Retro or Roaring Silence or Jive and on the list goes.
Where can you find all this? On 2MCE where diversity and variety begins.
