Virgin Supercars will officially launch this year’s Bathurst 1000 at Sydney’s Luna Park on Tuesday.
Supercars chief executive James Warburton will be joined at the launch by past and present drivers, along with Brock's former partner Bev Brock and one of his greatest rivals in Dick Johnson.
On display will be Brock’s legendary 1984 Bathurst winning Commodore, alongside Chaz Mostert’s 2016 Supercheap Auto Racing Falcon.
Organisers will use the launch to unveil plans for one of Australia’s biggest sporting events, set to be even bigger this year as fans rush to Mount Panorama to again pay their respects to Brock.
To be held from October 6-9, this year’s Bathurst 1000 will celebrate 10 years of the Peter Brock Trophy.
