In a game high quality game that could have gone either way a birdie by Clyburn on the hole 17 proved to be the difference.
Clyburn and Gardiner were two up after the front nine, a margin they had held since the fourth hole.
Gregori and Bender managed to get back to one down on the 11th but the leaders put the margin back out to two on the very next hole.
The teams traded wins over the following holes but Gregori and Bender kept themselves in the hunt by the 16th hole where, once again, they had managed to get back within one against their opponents.
However Clyburn’s decisive birdie on 17 got himself and Gardiner secured the title.
Clyburn and Gardiner earned their spot in the final thanks to a win over Alan Lamb and Ian Farmer. Gregori and Bender beat Andrew Short and Graham Simpson in their semi-final.
