A record number of entries have been received for this year’s competition, with organisers forced to add another day to the schedule. The eisteddfod now runs from August 27 to September 15.
More than 2500 individual entries were received for the dance section alone, while another 5000 were received for speech, drama and music sections combined.
The eisteddfod is open to the public and president Roslyn King invited the community to come along and view the performances.
Bathurst Eisteddfod programs are $7 each and can be purchased at Bathurst Travel Centre, Harmonikos, Books Plus and John Matthews and Co Chemist.
