The Heat picked up their fifth win of the season in style as they continue to sit level with City Colts in the battle for second place.
It was the first meeting between Heat and Nova after their previous clash didn’t go ahead due to the wet weather through the middle of the season.
Heat are producing their best netball at the right time of the season as they’ve now won four of their last five matches.
In other results, Bulldogs Verdelho had their unbeaten run ended in a thrilling 56-54 defeat to Panthers Duncans.
The defeat is the first for the Bulldogs since last year’s semi finals, where they went down to the very same opponent.
Colts were too strong for the Bathurst Under 15s reps in an 80-27 win.
With just two rounds left to play, Bulldogs continue to hold the lead on 22 points with Colts and Heat not far away on 19.
Panthers are only a single point behind them while Nova’s finals chances are almost gone as they now sit on 14 points.
Next round Panthers look to leap Colts on the table, Bulldogs hope to bounce back against the Heat while the Bathurst Under 17s are playing Nova.
