20 – 26 August is Book Week, the annual celebration of children’s literature and Bathurst Library will celebrate with public story time sessions featuring an appearance from the beloved character from Beatrix Potter’s books, Peter Rabbit.
Listen to the adventures of Peter Rabbit along with some of the 2016 Children’s Book Council’s award winning books.
The storytime sessions featuring Peter Rabbit will be held on: Thursday 25 August 11am–12noon, 3.45pm–4.30pm. Friday 26 August 11am–12noon, 3.45pm–4.30pm. Where: Bathurst Library

Cilla has spent 10 years working as a NPW Ranger and 23 years teaching all things environmental at CSU Orange, while at the same time obtaining qualifications in wildlife and resource management.
Her interactive talk will focus on the CWEC’s role in the region and how they are working to protect the local environment for wildlife and future generations.

Father’s Day at the National Motor Racing Museum from 9am-4.30pm. Wondering what to do for dad on Father’s Day?
Why not head to the National Motor Racing Museum, also known as Bathurst’s biggest man cave, to celebrate the history, personalities and achievements in Australian motor sports.
There’s free entry for dads on Father’s Day. Coffee and morning tea will be available at the Al Dente food van which will be on site and there will be a sausage sizzle and lucky door prizes.
