The wild weather of the past few months has once again impacted on the size of the Saturday field, although on this occasion it didn’t deter Brian Walsh who fired +2 to win A-grade on a countback over young gun Dylan Thompson, Simon Stuart was once again in the thick of the action to shoot +1 and finish third. -3 was just enough for Phil Campbell to be crowned the scratch champion.
Arthur Clancy was quick out of the B-grade barriers and just held on to defeat Sauro Gregori by the shortest of margins after both players had +3, the quiet achiever Gary Tildesley (+1) snuck in for third and the scratch went the way of Martyn Salmon with -10. Visitor Bill Kennedy enjoyed his foray onto the Bathurst links after winning Sunday’s stableford event with a solid 37 points, Cindy Perfect and Bill Casey both found their way onto the podium after both players had 36 points.
