The awards encourage children to read as many books as they can between December and July.
This year 154 participants have read a staggering 28,040 books, the library’s most successful Booklink result in the 14-year history of the program.
The competition was open to children aged up to 15 with younger participants having the books read to them as a way of encouraging a love of reading and learning.
Awards were presented in a number of categories including encouragement, age group, school and the best reader awards.
Bathurst mayor Gary Rush, was on hand to present the participants with their awards.
Booklink will return to Bathurst in December and run through to July 31, 2017.
