Lowndes debuted as a full-time driver 20 years ago but says there’s plenty left for him to conquer in Supercars, including another title.
“I still would love to win another championship – our last one was ’99,” Lowndes told supercars.com.
“There’s been a lot of opportunities, we’ve been second in six or seven years between Jamie [Whincup] and others. We’re sitting fourth.
“I’d love to win another championship, but also love to win another Bathurst, but I’m not too greedy.”
Lowndes, who will notch up his 600th Supercars race start this Sunday, has won six Bathurst 1000 crowns.
It ranks him equal third on the all-time Great Race winners’ list behind Peter Brock (nine), Jim Richards (seven), Larry Perkins (six) and Mark Skaife (six).
