SOME of the region’s most precocious young performers had the chance to strut their stuff at Bathurst Eisteddfod’s Babies’ Day on Sunday.

Taking the stage were performers aged just five to eight and adjudicators Nathan Sheens (dance) and Judith Burgess (speech) were clearly impressed with the talent on show.
The three-week eisteddfod got off to a flying start on Saturday with the theatre at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre filled top and bottom for the first dance performances.
Eisteddfod president Roslyn King said the were about 700 audience members on hand to enjoy the talents of more than 200 performers.
The eisteddfod runs until Friday, September 16.
