There were various speech and drama performances from 13 and 14 year-olds at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, with jazz, ballet and waltz on show in the dancing section.
Bathurst Eisteddfod president Roslyn King said dance adjudicator Nathan Sheens had been impressed by the high quality of performances and choreography so far.
“The competitors are loving the adjudicators and the feedback they get,” Ms King said.
“We’ve been very busy so far, but it’s been a lot of fun.”
The eisteddfod runs until Friday, September 16.
