Allyson Schumacher, number one ladies player at the club who is in great form. Allyson’s cannonball forehand and accurate court craft skills will prove troublesome to her opponents. Star rating of nine out of ten.
Jacqui Bicanic, is as consistent as they come and can turn defence into attack in an instant. Her forehand is on the improve with her net skills brilliant. Bicanic is not to be underestimated. I give Jacqui an eight out of ten.
Colleen Garvey is a very handy player who is peaking just at the right time. Her steady game and crafty net play will no doubt be a huge weapon in he coming matches. Don't drop the ball short on this girl or she will pounce on you like a rattle snake. One of the danger players come semis time with a star rating of eight out of ten.
Sarah Tree is one of Eglinton's top young guns who is on fire. Sarah has the uncanny knack of intimidating her opponents into errors. Her blistering forehand and good net skills will have her opposition in panic mode. I give Sarah seven out of ten.
Stacey Markwick is one of Eglinton’s most respected ladies players who gives her all on the court. Her consistent style of tennis will run you into the ground and will have her opponents back peddling. Stacey will be up there fighting right up to the finish. My star rating for Stacey is an eight out of ten.
Marica Todd will be fighting right to the end. In her matches, Marcia can play some fine tennis. If the ball sits up for Todd it will play to her advantage to finish the point off. Rating six out of ten.
Well, folks there you have the women and there form in the lead up to the semis.

It is that time of year again with the 2016 Seniors Teams Tennis Tournament coming up. This year’s tournament will be on October 29-30. As every year it will be held at the John Matthews tennis complex in Durham st. The tournament conducted and co-ordinated by the head coach at the tennis centre Andrew Mitton and his committee is expected to attract a good number of entries, with the Eglinton club entering teams in most events. The John Matthews Complex is one of the best tennis complexes's in the central west, and with Andrew Mitton and his committee, I can assure you the tournament will be run in the most professional way. So Bathurst gets behind this tournament as there will be champagne tennis flowing from all over the court. Good hitting.
