In the first, offenders cut a window screen to enter a Brilliant Street home between midnight Sunday and early the next morning.
A television and PlayStation were stolen.
In the second incident, thieves stole cash and five watches from a unit in Lambert Street. The resident was not home at the time.
Investigations into both thefts are continuing.
The key to security
POLICE have again issued a reminder to residents to properly secure their property after a car was stolen in a brazen theft on Monday.
Officers say the white Toyota Camry was taken from an O’Connell property some time between 11am and 5.15pm.
The car keys had been left in the ignition.
A bike not belonging to the property owner was later found behind a shed on the property.
Stolen car crashed
A CAR stolen from West Bathurst over the weekend has been found crashed at Gormans Hill.
Police said the thieves entered a garage and found the keys to the vehicle hanging on a hook.
They swiped a tree as they left the West Bathurst property before crashing at Gormans Hill.
A mobile phone not belonging to the car’s owner was found at the crash site.
