Students from schools across the city waited for their turn to perform in the verse speaking section on Wednesday morning.
The day started with the kindergarten and under verse speaking choir and finished up with the eight years and under prepared reading solo.
Dance solos also continued.
Bathurst Eisteddfod volunteer coordinator Pam Anderson said the verse speaking is one of the busiest sections of the entire three-week event.
“It is for a great number of kids who would not come to the eisteddfod otherwise,” she said.
“They all get their time to come on stage and shine in a big group.”
Ms Anderson said teachers from each school work very hard to ensure they are prepared for the event and as a result each performance is always “very polished”.
