After righting the truck emergency crews had to clean up its load of lost timber.
Police, paramedics and NSW Fire and Rescue, including the Hazmat unit were called to the single truck crash which occurred just after 11am.
Chifley Local Area Command duty officer Inspector Gerard Powell said no one was hurt or trapped in the crash, and traffic was able to pass in both directions.
However, the road was later closed as the salvage operation got under way and remained closed for several hours. Investigations are continuing.
