Bathurst Regional Council will light up the Carillon in Kings Parade in red at sunset for World Duchenne Awareness Day to raise awareness of muscular dystrophy. Bathurst will join communities around the world in raising awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the most common and life-threatening form of muscular dystrophy.
Fly Fish Bathurst will meet at the Panorama City Hotel/Motel at 8pm. Call 6331 2818 (BH).
Bathurst High School P and C will meet in the staff common room at 7.30pm.

Thursday, September 8
Arthritis NSW Support Group will meet at the Bathurst RSL from 10am-noon. Call Nelma Brooks, 6331 5146.
Peter Brock memorial service will be held at the National Motor Racing Museum at 10am. Bathurst Regional Council will host this memorial service in honour of the racing driver. The service will be conducted by Supercars chaplain Garry Coleman.
Citizenship ceremony will be held at the council chambers in Russell Street at 6pm. Seven candidates will become Australian citizens at the ceremony.
Advanced notice
A trivia night will be held to raise funds for the ministry of St Barnabas Parish on September 16 at the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Gilmour Street, Kelso. Cost: $15pp; tables of eight.
Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. No door sales. Tickets are available at Books Plus, Howick Street.
Dragon Boat Come and Try Day will be held on Sunday, September 25 from 10am at Chifley Dam. Participants on the open day have to be aged 12 years or over. No experience is required, and equipment will be supplied.

Can Assist Christmas Luncheon will be held on November 10 at the Bathurst RSL at noon for 12.30pm.
Cost is $35 per person for a two-course meal with tea and coffee provided.
