Harriet Wran, the daughter of former NSW premier Neville Wran, has left the jail that she says saved her life.

Wran, 28, emerged from Silverwater jail just after 7am on Tuesday and was driven out of the complex in a silver Audi with her mother Jill Hickson Wran and brother Hugo.
Wran spoke briefly to a waiting media pack before leaving, stating that she was still in recovery and asked for her privacy to be respected.
"I thought I'd come over and say hello," she said, with her mother Jill leaning on her shoulder.
"I've really just come to implore you to understand that I'm still very much in recovery.
"It's going to be a long process and it's going to be hard and I ask you to understand, please, let me do what I have to do in privacy. Thank you so much."
Her exit from Silverwater comes after the NSW State Parole Authority granted her release at a private hearing at Parramatta on Friday.
Wran spent 759 days in jail for the robbery of small time drug dealer Daniel McNulty and being an accessory after the fact to his murder.
Mr McNulty was murdered by Wran's boyfriend of two weeks, Michael Lee, 37, and another man, Lloyd Haines, 31, during a botched robbery for ice at a Redfern public housing unit in August, 2014.
Wran played a role in the robbery by knocking on the door of unit B30, to allow Lee and Haines to get in.
During her sentencing hearing in July, Wran laid bare intimate details of her battle with bulimia and her drug addiction that led to the robbery and murder.
"I feel terrible. I'm ashamed to have been involved in anything like that. I can't believe someone died. I can't believe someone was so badly hurt," Wran told her sentencing hearing.
"I regret every step I took that night."
Under cross-examination from Crown prosecutor Peter McGrath, SC, Wran said she felt jail had saved her life.
"I think I would have killed myself [with drugs]," she said.
Wran has vowed never to touch drugs again and part of her parole conditions state she must abstain from alcohol.
She must also participate in psychological or psychiatric treatment and must not contact Mr McNulty's family, Lee or Haines.
"It won't happen [taking drugs]- because somebody died and I was involved in something that led to that and I know that I won't pick up drugs again," she said.
"I never thought in a million years I'd end up in jail, let alone for murder. I've never intended for anyone to get hurt in my life; it was almost not real to begin with."
