Stephen Beer, general manager of the Bathurst cemetery, will host an afternoon tea in the chapel at 3pm to form a Friends of the Cemetery committee to assist in the development and running of the cemetery. Call 6332 5904 to register your interest for catering purposes.
A trivia fun night to raise funds for the ministry of St Barnabas Parish will be held on September 16 in the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Gilmour Street, Kelso. Cost: $15pp. Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. No door sales. Tickets are available through Books Plus, Howick Street.
There will be door and novelty prizes and live music provided by Vic Mally and his honky tonk piano.
