The Early Opener is exactly that, open from 5am to 11am every weekday (except Thursday) to serve up breakfast, morning tea and “lunch to go” as well as a cuppa to wash it all down.
The business has its sights set on the “tradie” market and also those commuting west or south of the city.
Owner Scott Taylor is no newbie in the market and has run Al Dente cafe on Keppel Street for years, and also the coffee van on Vale Road every Thursday morning.
He said feedback since The Early Opener started earlier this month has been very positive.
“It’s been really good, a lot of people have commented and said “it’s my side of town” or “I work around here” or “I work in Orange,” he said.
Mr Taylor said there is a strong market for an early coffee in Bathurst, and 6-7am is one of the busiest times.
The Early Opener van operates out of Beaumont Tiles’ carpark on Stewart Street.
