Following the march, the students attended the official launch of NAIDOC Week at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre before lunch at Machattie Park.
Tracy Crawford from Bathurst West Public said the kids really enjoyed being part of the march, as well as the clearing and welcome dance by Waggaanah Aboriginal Dance Group.
There is a big week of activities planned for NAIDOC Week.
The RSL will host a talent show on Wednesday night featuring music and dance performances from students and on Friday, Morse Park will host a cultural sporting day which will feature traditional indigenous games.
Community service providers including headspace, Lifeline, Charles Sturt University and Western Sydney University will also be present at the day.
