This is a weekly half hour show for kids aged two to six and their families performed by Kathy Cameron and Nerolie Whitbread.
My toddler loves it, especially getting on stage as part of the ‘fun band’ to play along to the singing.
‘Fun Theatre’ has been a gentle introduction for her to the world of theatre: the idea of live performance, learning when to applaud and when to sit still and watch.
The very last show for the year is on today, Wednesday, September 21 at 11am at the CWA Hall, Russell Street.
Cost is $5 for children, free for adults and babies.
A gathering to celebrate Jimmy
THE Bathurst Wiradyuri and Aboriginal Community Elders, along with several other supporters, are currently organising a Jimmy Little Gathering for 2017.
This is a tribute to our first Aboriginal entertainer, singer/songwriter, actor and activist.
A free launch event on Saturday, September 24 at 1pm at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre at 105 William Street will include a short film and music with light refreshments.

Sprung Festival
THE annual Sprung Festival will run from Wednesday, September 21 until Saturday, October 1 on the CSU campus.
This year’s Sprung Festival premieres seven world-first plays and films produced by the 2016 graduating class of Theatre/Media.
The experience extends beyond the theatre with an opening parade and interactive installations.

Music
JAZZ Cabaret will be a wonderful evening of delicious food and great entertainment featuring Harmonikos Jazz and many other local performers on Thursday, September 22 from 6.30pm at The Carrington Function Centre.

Stage
BELL Shakespeare’s Othello is a violent exploration of the thin line that separates love and jealousy.
It’s one show only on Thursday, September 22 at 7.30pm at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre.
The Song Company will be at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre with The all-Leunig Song Almanac on Friday, September 30.
Australia’s premiere vocal acapella group will run workshops for community choirs and school-aged singers next week from Wednesday, September 28 until Friday, September 30 at Mitchell Conservatorium. For more information, call 6331 6622.
