Hockey will begin on Tuesday October 11, with all ages welcome to participate in a friendly and social environment at the Cooke Hockey Complex.
We like to encourage families to play with their kids
- Bathurst Hockey senior centre manager Melissa Bestwick
Bathurst Hockey senior centre manager Melissa Bestwick said summer hockey is a really social time for players.
“We like to encourage families to play with their kids,” Bestwick said.
“We’ve already got two teams nominated that didn’t play last year.”
The rules follow normal hockey, with a few tweaks, including no keepers and parents able to play with their children.
Hockey will run during the final term of school, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with opportunity for children to play Minkey, a simplified version of the game.
Minkey will be played at 4:30pm, where children can brought down to the hockey complex, pay $2 and then will be split up into different teams.
Interested players should contact Bestwick at melissa@mirelandlawyers.com.au, so players can receive team nomination forms, with registration completed online at hockeynsw.com.au.
