Bathurst Artisan Market returns with an amazing new mix of quality crafts, food and music. There are 15 new stalls this season (from hand-made shaving cream to recycled silver) plus some old favourites. Catch Madi Hodder's debut performance from 9.30 and the sweet sounds of Phil Blatch from 10.30.
Open garden weekend at “Bondura”, 250 Bridle Track Road, Duramana, September 24 and 25 from 10am to 4pm. Marcia Bonham, in conjunction with the Australian Plants Society Central West Group, will open her beautiful garden. Children are welcome.
The lovingly restored heritage wattle and daub Gresser Cottage will be open for viewing too. There will be raffles, tea, coffee and home-made treats. The garden is only 20 minutes from Bathurst. Competition
Neighbour Day is inviting children and adults in communities around Australia to draw a picture showing what is special about their neighbours or what makes their neighbourhoods a great place to live in the My Neighbours, My Neighbourhood drawing competition. Category 1 is under 15 years old and Category 2 is 15 years and over. Prizes: first $250, second prize $150, third prize $100. Entries close 5pm, October 16. One entry per person. Entrants must email a scanned copy of drawings and entry form to info@neighbourday.org. All entries must be A4 size.
