Braces to Menzie White and Miranda Campbell rocketed Andrew Speed’s side to the commanding win, booking it a place in the quarter-finals with an opponent and date still to be confirmed.
Speed said with not a lot of knock-out experience in his side, they’re handling the pressure with aplomb – their seven-goal mauling of the East Bankstown Football Club evidence of that.
The girls’ passing in that second half was great. They moved the ball really well.
- Andrew Speed
“They were all really excited ahead of the game,” Speed said.
“They’ve played Western Youth League and the Country Cup before, but knock-outs are always tough.”
After leading 2-0 at half-time, Speed said his side really clicked into gear in the final period, goals to Hannah Peard, Amy Parker and Chloe Brasier adding to doubles from White and Campbell.
“The girls’ passing in that second half was great.”
