Postponed due to flooding last Saurday, the brand new speedway season at the ‘Action Attraction of the Central West’ Orange Car Carriers Cullen Bullen Raceway gets underway this Saturday afternoon from 4pm, hosted by the Portland District Motor Sports Club.

Almost six hours of speedway racing will unfold, with over 50 events for the tin top stock cars and the very fast open wheelers contesting the Daphne Blackley Memorial Meeting.
Don't forget the stock car stars contesting the opening round of their Portland club championship over three heats and a feature race - the unbelievably close racing ten car field of RSA Street Stockers,Series Production,Four Cylinders,Second Drivers and the new “all stars –new stars” Junior class all racing for their yearly pointscore.
Five 10 to 13-year-old youngsters will take on the ‘new star’ class including Max Essai, Bailey Brennan, Jaiden Healey, Jackson Goldie and Ethan Field, at the wheel of the updated Datsun 1200 driven by Portland’s Paul McLachlan nearly twenty years ago.
Young Ethan Brown joins the ‘all star’ class with the experienced Sarah Bradley of Blayney and Bek Giffin of Orange.
Driving stars from Sydney, Blue Mountains, Mudgee, Bathurst, Orange, Canberra, Blayney, Oberon, Dubbo, Gilgandra and Nowra will battle it out.
