The disaster package announced on Tuesday covers 21 local government areas, including Bathurst.
Funds can be used for immediate assistance, grants for essential household contents and structural repairs to homes are also available.
Federal member for Calare Andrew Gee said the disaster assistance was in response to flooding that commenced on August 30, 2016, and it would ensure that affected regions had the resources and support needed to recover.
“The Central West has been hit extremely hard by the recent flooding and I am encouraging our primary producers and townspeople to apply for this funding as soon as possible,” he said.
