Ben Hamer made it two monthly medals in a row when he returned a score of 70 to win the October medal in A Grade and Ash Lamb scored his first hole in one on the eight hole during Sunday’s competition. Lamb will remember for a long time after, achieving every golfer’s dream.

The regular individual and two ball best ball competition was held on Thursday with a few brave souls battling the weather. Roger Bremner handled to conditions the best to claim victory with 33 points from Darrell Bourke on 32 points. Darren Smith was the scratch winner with 28 points. The two ball best ball winners were Scott McMah and John Stephens. As reward for an undeniable commitment to the game of golf, everyone who played in the competition received a ball in the ball sweep.
The October monthly medals were played on Saturday with a good size field. Ben Hamer, the October medal winner made it two in row when he edged out Melbourne visitor Evan Berger on a count-back to win A grade and the Cock of the Course trophy. David Blackshaw was third and Darren Smith took out the scratch prize.
Playing in the first group, Kevin Burke posted a score of 71 to be the best in B Grade. Albert Davis was second with a 72 and David Seymour was third one shot behind. Manuel Pro was the scratch winner with 88.
In C Grade David Gates took out the medal with a 71. Chris Boardman and Craig Hanrahan filled the minor places. Geoff Arrow was the scratch winner.
