The Rams are getting prepared to take on the Federation of Italian Rugby League Australia (FIRLA) opens side at Carrington Park on Saturday.
Behan will be joined by Brent Seager as the Bathurst representatives.
NSW Cup and Queensland Cup players – with the chance of some English Super League guns – are expected to be littered throughout the Italian side in Bathurst.
“The basics, and doing them well, will be important for us,” Rams coach Darren Jackson said after his side’s training session at Manildra.
“It was as good (a session) as I expected it was going to be. It was really crisp for a one-off.
“I pulled the group together at the start and congratulated them all for being there. I pretty much said to them that if they go back to their clubs and start the year in-form, then these are the guys we’re going to be looking at picking again.
“It’s a great opportunity to get your name out there and recognised.”
Western will take on FIRLA in two other games on Saturday as well, with the under 16s set to commence at 1pm and the under 20s starting at 3.20pm.
First Grade will kick-off at 5pm, played across two 40 minute halves.
