Friday, October 21
Book launch: Eglinton Voices at the council chambers at 10am. Mayor Gary Rush will launch the reprint of the popular Eglinton Voices which was first compiled by the late Angie Peard in 2005 for the Eglinton Sesquicentenary Celebrations.
Mrs Peard updated and reprinted the book earlier this year. Council provided funding support through the Bathurst Region Interpretation Fund to assist with publishing costs.
Members of Mrs Peard’s family and the Eglinton community will attend the book launch.
Saturday, October 22
Backyard Bird Count and bird walk at Boundary Road Reserve at 8am. The third annual Backyard Bird Count runs until October 23 and council is asking residents to take part.
Register at aussiebirdcount.org.au and download the app so you can identify birds in the community and log the sightings.
Council and local bird experts will host a free public bird walk in Boundary Road Reserve on Saturday. Local event details are available on Facebook: @bathurstbirdcount

Stallholder applications close November 30.
The garage sale will be held in the Pit Complex at Mount Panorama on Sunday, December 11 between 9am and noon.
