On Thursday, the first of six intimate performances will get underway as part of the Local Emerging Artists Program (LEAP).
The program runs in conjunction with the festival to provide locals a platform.
Gabbi Bolt’s first LEAP performance was in 2013 and she is excited to return for another year.
“It really, as well as promotes your own music and face around town, it also promotes other musicians,” she said. “Without this program I wouldn’t know about any of them.”
Ms Bolt said she also liked the way LEAP showcased local venues.
Tommy’s restaurant is one of three venues hosting LEAP sessions this year.
Owner Tommy Griffiths said he liked the opportunity the program gave to promote local talent.
“I love to support it because the music and arts make a more beautiful community,” he said.
Tommy’s will host the first of the sessions on Thursday from 5.30pm to 9pm, while The Hub and Mad Season Cafe will host their sessions on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

- Thursday, October 27, 5.30-9pm at Tommy’s: Tristan & Finn, Emily Geerkins, Chloe Swannell and Gabbi Bolt
- Friday, October 28, 2pm-3pm at The Hub: Georgia Sonter and Tameka Kennedy
- Saturday, October 29, 10am-2pm at Mad Season Café: Gabrielle Whitwell, Zoe Bunyan and Madi Pincott
