Ryder Joel Edward, 28, of William Street, Bathurst appeared before magistrate Michael Allen on October 10, to answer a charge of drive motor vehicle during period of disqualification.
The court heard how on September 10 police were monitoring the flow of traffic near Morrisset and George streets when Edward was pulled over for a RBT, which produced a negative result.
Police asked for his current driver’s licence and he replied: “I don’t have one, I’m suspended.” A check revealed he was a disqualified until May 9, 2019.
The court also heard Edward was stopped by police on August 15, 2016 for diving while disqualified and issued with a court attendance notice but at the time of writing the police facts, Edward had not been to court for this matter.
Mr Allen convicted Edward, fined him $750 and disqualified him from driving for a further 12 months.
