Having earned her selection for becoming a three-time national champion this year, McKinnirey will ride in in the first round to be held in Glasgow, Scotland, before heading to Apeldoorn in the Netherlands for round two.
Now based in South Australia, McKinnirey will join Alex Manly in representing Australia in the female endurance races.
Her other Australian team-mates include three rookies plus the likes of six-time world champion Cameron Meyer.
"It is great to see such a dynamic young line up named for the opening round of the 2016-17 season," Cycling Australia CEO Nicholas Green said.
"At the start of a new Olympic cycle, and with Australia hosting the Commonwealth Games in 18 months, these events are critical in developing our new talent."
