Lifeline Central West’s annual Spring Book Fair is coming up and organisers are hoping to sell many of the 22,000 titles included.
Romance, biographies, novels, history and children’s books are just some of the genres available, along with more than 1200 DVDs.
The event is a major fundraiser for Lifeline and it allows the charity to continue its vital work.
Lifeline supports people who are suicidal, victims of abuse, amid a personal crisis, and suffering from anxiety, depression or loneliness.
Lifeline’s Alex Ferguson said there has been a spike in calls since parts of Forbes were flooded and the ongoing turmoil in the state’s greyhound racing industry.
The fair is on October 29 and 30, and is open 8.30am-4pm on Saturday and 10am-2pm on Sunday at Bathurst Showground .
Books start at just $1, with DVDs from $3. Entry to the Spring Book Fair is by gold coin donation.
