The Mitchell team which will take on Macquarie then Lachlan in a busy two days of cricket includes 10 Bathurst players, with five of the six first grade outfits represented.
City Colts skipper Dan Casey and his club-mates Matt Stephen and Henry Shoemark have been named, as has Bathurst City all-rounders Joey Coughlan and Ben Orme.
ORC will be represented by Wayne Sellers, Rugby Union by talented junior Ryan Peacock and Qureshi, while Centennials opener Josh Toole is expected to play an important role with the bat.
The squad also includes Orange debutant Matt Corben.
“Matt Corben is in as the wicketkeeper. He kept very well for the [Central West] Wranglers last year. He gets his chance for Mitchell,” chairman of selectors Neil Doherty said.
Doherty said Macquarie, equipped with a couple of NSW Country representative players, would be a formidable opponent after they narrowly beat Lachlan in the opening game of the series in Dubbo on October 9.
“They will need to be on their game to beat Macquarie. If they play well, they can beat them,” he said.
Qureshi will captain the side on the Saturday against Macquarie, but is unavailable for the Sunday game. Doherty said Richie Venner would take over as skipper for that fixture.
Both representative games will be played in Orange at the Country Club Oval.
