Prior to the event, the council promoted it as having hand-made items, only produced by locals.

That aspect helped to attract quite a crowd and president Wendy-Lou Tisdell said many of the items were sold.

“We’ve sold some photographs and quite a bit of the craft,” she said on Sunday.

The event was held at the Senior Citizen Centre, a venue Ms Tisdell could not praise highly enough.

“We will possibly have it there again next year.”

The artists provided the council with great feedback about the event and Ms Tisdell praised their work.

“The level of the quality of the workmanship is excellent,” she said.
