It is expected the numbers at next year’s B2B will increase significantly, thanks to what is in offer for riders.
The event is one of two qualifiers in Australia, with the other being the Wiggle Amy’s Gran Fondo on the Great Ocean Ride, which was held in September.
The B2B is just on of eight new events to join the world series, that will give competitors a chance to represent their country at the world championships in Albi, in the south of France, next August.
Australia has been the most successful country in number of participants at the world championships over the past six years.
It is expected that Bathurst Regional Council will announce more information regarding the B2B’s new format next week.
