Councillor Bobby Bourke, the driving force behind the appeal, said there are more than 100 items available, including furniture, electronics, camping equipment, white goods and paintings.
An official auctioneer will run the proceedings.
“I’ve got some good quality items and there has been some good donations, probably about $1000 in donations after the $3000 from council,” he said.
“If someone is looking for a bargain or wants to just help out the cause, come on by.”
Money raised from the appeal will be given to Forbes Shire Council to distribute to those most in need.
The auction will get underway at 12pm and is expected to go for up to two hours.
“This the last chance to support the people of Forbes,” Cr Bourke said.
“Anything we make will go to a good cause.”
