Hewitt will be steering in-form In The Paper during the Harness Special Pace race 6 (1,730 metres), with the horse winning his first two starts at Bathurst.
In The Paper has been drawn third from the inside, in the second row, which was an unlucky draw for three-year-old bay gelding.
“He [In The Paper] is still in his learning stage, but he has had a good start,” Hewitt said.
“We got a poor draw, so it will be a tactical sort of race and a chance for him to get some more race education.
“His first two starts was from the front and it is hard to win from the second row, but he has come a long way.
“We could have started him as a two-year-old, but he was playing around a bit, so we put him off for six months and he has since picked up.
“We want him to get on the chewie more, so we might put him back in the paddock to mature.”
Hewitt will go up against Eglinton trainer Nathan Hurst, who is yet nominate whether he will be driving his five-year-old bay gelding Only At Night or his three-year-old bay gelding Safely Under Wraps.
Emma Turnbull will drive the three-year-old bay gelding, Captains Call.
