Students at Zig Zag Public School have been saddened by the theft of one of the school’s most prized possessions, a decorative baby rhino statue.

“Ziggle Zaggle” is three years old and was decorated in school colours by the students.
He took pride of place in the school’s main hallway.
Those responsible broke in to the school some time on Tuesday night and also stole iPods, laptops, donations from local businesses, first aid kits and poured liquid over school computers.
Zig Zag principal Vicki Gillmore said a similar incident happened 18 months ago.
“Children went home distressed yesterday. Small personal items had been taken from their desk,” Ms Gillmore said.
For Ms Gillmore, the immediate worry is the cost of repair but the kids are simply asking for Ziggle Zaggle to be returned.
“It would just be nice if they left the school alone,” Ms Gillmore said.
Chloe Murray, nine, is in Year 4 and could not understand why anyone would do such a thing.
“Everybody is really sad that Ziggle Zaggle is stolen,” she said.
“We just want him back.”
Students have since created “missing” posters of Ziggle Zaggle, and police are asking for information as they continue investigations.
