Jason Newman was in top form behind the wheel to grab two of the three big titles on offer at the South Pacific Karting Titles in Orange on Saturday.

Newman, from Bathurst, won both the KA4 Senior Heavy and KA3 Senior Light races.
“He led from start to finish. He’s been a gun for a while.”
The race started spectacularly with a big crash in the first corner that took out three drivers, including Burns along with Dave Campbell and Chris Fealy.
Newman beat fellow Bathurst racer Harrison Inwood with Stephen Roffe from Orange in third place.
Newman won the KA3 Senior Light race from James O’Malley and Kody Garland.
Luke Rigby won the KA3 Senior Heavy title from Matt Waters from Sydney and Brett Robson of Orange.
Burns said: “The event was a major success. The attendance, the level of racing, overall it was a good event.”
